Would you like a quick start to a career in the health care industry?

Certified Evaluated Nurse Assistants (CENA) are in high demand. Why not invest in a promising career that can lead you on the path of success? Nursing homes have a big need for reliable, caring employees.
CENAs provide direct care for the elderly in long-term care facilities (nursing homes), hospitals, and home health care. CENAs assist the elderly in activities of daily living (ADL) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, bathing, toileting, ambulating and exercising. CENAs provide the majority of care for the long-term care resident and is a very important part of the health care team.

PROGRAM CONTENT

CENAs are taught basic nursing skills to assist the licensed nurse. These include communication skills, infection control, resident's rights, first aid, common illnesses, safety and emergency procedures, behavior disorders, resident daily needs, care of environment, nutrition/fluids, elimination, charting, and many more

GOALS

Our goal is to help our students become successful and competent in the basic skills of a Nursing Assistant. We center our program on building up each individual's confidence level and we offer a learning environment that is conducive to growth.
Upon successful completion of the program students will receive a Certificate of Completion. The certificate verifies that the student has met the requirements set forth by the state of Michigan and is eligible to take the State test to become a State Certified Evaluated Nursing Assistant (CENA).
